Inert Alumina Balls

Inert Alumina Balls

CBS 17 / CBS 23

These inert alumina balls are manufactured from very high quality chemical-porcelain clay materials, which have excellent stability, high mechanical strength, and resistance to thermal shock. This makes them an ideal choice for many types of catalyst support materials.

Sizes offered range from 1/8” (3mm) to 2” (50mm)

CBS 99A / CBS 99B

These products are formulated with high purity Alpha Alumina with low silica content to prevent silica leaching and coating on downstream equipment. CBS-99B has higher density and lower porosity than CBS-99A, so CBS-99B may be used on top of the catalyst bed to prevent bed lifting, as well as to help ensure uniform gas and/or liquid flow over the active catalyst bed.

Some of the applications include:

  • Ammonia production
  • Methanol and hydrogen production (primarily reforming)
  • Alkylation process using hydrogen fluoride at high temperatures
  • Naphtha reforming
  • Isomerization
  • Desiccand dryer
  • Hydrocracker
  • Petrochemical Reaction

  • Sizes offered range from 1/8” (3mm) to 2” (50mm)
