Catalyst Characterization

VOC Catalyst Troubleshooting

When catalyst deactivation begins, it is important for the catalyst vendor, to work with the end user to determine the cause of the catalyst deactivation. Is it thermal deactivation? Are there compounds or elements accumulating on the surface of the catalyst, that are physically blocking the active catalytic sites from doing their job?

Applied Catalysts has a full and comprehensive analytical laboratory to be able to determine what the cause of catalyst deactivation is. We can also determine via Catalyst Testing and Catalyst Cleaning, if the deactivated catalyst can be restored to its original condition or if the end customer needs to budget for a replacement catalyst.
